Obituary

Robert Earl Beaube, age 85, of Rainbow City, celebrated resurrection through death into Life on Friday, December 15, 2023, after several years of declining health.

Mr. Beaube was born on May 1st, 1938, in Anderson, South Carolina, to the late Rev. and Mrs. A.V. Beaube. He graduated from Emma Sansom High School in 1955, where he was well known for playing football with his twin brother Harry.

He graduated college from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and spent most of his career in textile management at Cannon Mills Sheets and Towels (Kannapolis, NC) and Vanity Fair (Oneonta, AL).

He enjoyed camping, hiking the Appalachian Trail, golfing, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Carey Gilliam Beaube. His parents, Rev. A.V. Beaube and Laura Tarver Beaube, five brothers, A.V. Beaube Jr., George Beaube, Jimmy Beaube, Harry Beaube (his beloved twin), Tommy Beaube, and three sisters, Valerie Davis, Gwendolyn Pinner, and Bobbie Drake.

He is survived by his three children, Robert B. Beaube of Glencoe, Lynne Davis (Tim) of Rainbow City, Alex Beaube (Renee)of Decatur, his special companion, Judy Gray, of Glencoe, 8 grandchildren, Kristin Brown, Matthew Thompson, Emily Roundy, Bryan Beaube, Justin Beaube, Caleb Beaube, Amber Beaube, Olivia Beaube, and 9 great-grandchildren.

The family will honor his memory in early 2024 with a private memorial service.
