Funeral services will be at 11am TODAY at Crestwood Chapel for Rickey Lee Smith age 58, of Glencoe who died Thursday, June 12, 2014. Rev. Mark Gidley will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
He was a 1973 graduate of Glencoe High after which he served in the Army and National Guard for well over 20 years. Rickey was a fun loving guy who was fun to be around. He loved his family, his friends, and traveling .He was a loving son , father ,brother and uncle and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Smith; brother, Jimmy Smith; grandparents, J.T. and Alice Jennings and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Smith.
He is survived by his mother, Ruby Smith; daughter, Jessica (Christopher) Simmons; sister, Sherri (Randy) Young; nieces and nephews Shelley , Joey ,Jennifer ,Miranda ,Rance ,Amanda and Little Tucker.
Pallbearers will be Joey Smith , Randy Young ,Seth Hannah ,Chris Hindsman ,Justin Croft ,Chris Gann ,Tommy Roebuck and Benny Battles. Honorary pallbearers are Drs. H. Patel , B.J. Patel and Dr. James White. And the entire staff of Healthsouth .
