Funeral services will be 3 pm Wednesday 1/31/2018 at Crestwood Chapel for Mr. Richard Roberson age 64 of Gadsden who died Saturday. Reverends Vince Whittington and Vann Lockridge will officiate .Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.

Mr. Roberson was a 1971 graduate of Emma Sansom , and UAB. He was a veteran of The United States Navy, member of Dwight Masonic Lodge number 7 and Attalla Masonic Lodge, retired from IBEW Local 136 was a Christian ordained Deacon and longtime member of Meadow Brook Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and Paw Paw and friend to all and will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by father, Luther "Buddy" Roberson, grandson Noah Shelnut ,and son in law Josh Shelnut.

He is survived by wife Diane Roberson, daughters Mandy(Jeff) Yates, Maggie(Jason )Walker, Rebekah(Perry)Walker, grandchildren Peyton, Kaylee and Bryant Yates, Matthew and Luke Walker, Cooper and Khloe Walker, mother Ann(Charles) Parham, mother in law Jewell Couch, sisters in law Carol(Barry) Collins, Teresa Couch and a host of nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Wes Burnett, Mike Hunt, Bob Cross, Charlie Skaggs, George Schultz, Al  Tate ,Brian Tate, and members of Dwight and Attalla Masonic Lodge.

The family will receive friends at the funeral Home today from 1 pm until the time of service.
