Funeral services will be 1 pm Thursday, September 8,2022, for Mr. Richard Earl Cornelius, age 79, of Rainbow City, who died Tuesday September 6,2022. Reverend Larry Garrard will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Mausoleum.

Richard will be remembered as a Christian first, a proud Army Veteran and a hard worker. He was a 1961 graduate of Emma Sansom High School, retired from Bellsouth with over 38 years of service. He'll be remembered most for his love of family. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. He was a kind generous man and will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by parents Charles and Loree Cornelius and in laws Chester and Jean Wright.

He is survived by wife of 55 years Maudeana "Dean"; daughter Amy(David) Feemster; son Jeff(Kerri) Cornelius; grandchildren Whitney and Max Feemster and Judd Cornelius.

The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
