Memorial service will be from 6-8 pm Friday at Crestwood Chapel for Mr. Ricky Campbell age 50 of Gadsden who died Tuesday at his residence. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Ricky was very outgoing, never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He received several awards for his involvement with the Kiwanis club. He was a 1982 graduate of Emma Sansom High School, where he played in the band. He loved gardening especially growing flowers. His hobby also included flying kites of which he owned several. He worked in the restaurant business for over 20 years; his last place of employment was at The Fisherman restaurant. His yard was a regular place to see at Christmas each year with the elaborate displays he created. He will be missed by his dog Harley as they were inseparable.
He is preceded in death by his parents J.W. and Frances Campbell and nephew Andy Moore.
He is survived by his siblings Wanda (Gary) Moody, Linda (Neal) Mayben, Cindy (George) Bonner, Wayne Campbell, nephews David and Wade Wagnon niece Rachel Crandford Lotfi and a large extended family.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 until 8 pm.
