Rebecca Charles Barnes Tillery passed peacefully at her daughter's home with family by her side on Monday December 11, 2023.

She was born in Cherokee County and moved to Coates Bend with her family after she graduated from Cedar Bluff High School in 1960. She married Jerry Tillery in 1963 and was married until his passing in 2011. She was a longtime and active member of Turkey Town Methodist Church. She loved helping and being involved at the Northeast Community Center. She loved to read and be outside growing her flowers.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Tillery; parents Clayton and Gladys Barnes; and brothers David and Harold Barnes.

Rebecca is survived by her daughters Sherry (David) Eubanks and Cynthia Barksdale; Grandchildren Heather Eubanks, Emily (Collin) Robinson, Katelyn (Dylan) Blair, Maria Barksdale, and Matthew Barksdale; Great Grandchildren Coraline and Harlynn Thompson, Luna and Daisy Blair, and Rhett Robinson; and many extended family members and friends.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Southern Care New Beacon Hospice for the great care and kindness shown to Rebecca and her family.

The family will have a private graveside service. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood funeral Home will direct services.
