Funeral will be at 1 pm Wednesday, June 18th, 2014, at Crestwood Chapel for Randy L. Gladden, age 59, of Gadsden, who died June 14th, 2014.Reverend Phillip Elliott will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Mr. Gladden was a former employee of Gulf States Steel. He was president of the Noccalula Knife Club. He was Worshipful Master twice at Dwight Masonic Lodge 550. He was a union representative for the United Steel Workers Union. His hobby was selling knives at Collinsville and Mountain Top Trade Days. He was the head crew leader for City of Gadsden Public Works. He enjoyed Saturday nights with his son Terry attending Auction Dynasty at Sardis Alabama.
He is preceded in death by his father Jack Gladden, grandparents Paul and Lucille Alverson, and Bo and Calvin Gladden.
He is survived by his wife Lynn of 39 years; daughter Tabatha (Vance) Brown, son Terry (Hanna) Gladden, daughter Tiffany (Lance) Freeman; grandchildren Colby Foster, Michaela, Mackenzie Brown, Branson, Breanna Gladden, Briggs, Caleb Freeman; mother Mary Gladden; brother Jody Gladden; and special uncle and aunt Mike and Carrol Gladden; Mother in law Mary Ivey Carol and numerous cousins.
Pallbearers will be Ronal Foster, Colby Foster, Jimmy Champion, Adam Horton, Jeremy Webb, Dewayne Hopper, Ty Jackson, Kenneth Ragan.
Honorary pallbearers are Gary "Heavy" Burkhalter, Vic Hall, Donnie Alverson, Max Brannon, Murray McBurnett, Mike Correll and Terry Bell.
Special thanks to Chris Correll with Attalla Fire Department, special cousin Ronal Foster, special friend Carolyn "Duck" Dixon , and The City of Gadsden Street Maintenance Crew.

Visitation will be from 6-9 pm TONIGHT at the funeral home.
