August 13, 1947 – February 12, 2022
Randall Lane Sanders, age 74, Centre (formerly of Gadsden) departed this life on the 12th day of February, 2022. A memorial service will be 2 pm February 13, 2022 at Crestwood Chapel, Gadsden Alabama. Rev. Rodney Ledbetter will officiate. Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery ,Albertville Alabama. Pallbearers will be family.
Randall never met a stranger and loved talking and laughing with friends. His favorite topic of conversation was finding gold buried in the mountains from the Civil War Era. Though he had disability from oxygen deprivation in infancy, he brought much joy and laughter to his family and friends. He was an excellent caregiver to his father and mother as their health declined. Randall accepted Jesus as a young man at Grove Baptist Church in Laurel, Mississippi, while attending church with his Aunt L. Z. Clark.
He is survived by his brother, Johnny Brown Sanders, of Gravette, Arkansas and his sister, Dianne (Rodney) Ledbetter of Gnatville. Nephews: Jason (Kristy) Sanders, Gravette, AR; Jeremiah (Megan) Ledbetter, Aiken, SC; Joshua Ledbetter, Cullman; Benjamin (Kaycee) Ledbetter, Calera; Jonathan (Brooke) Ledbetter, Centre. Nieces: Rachel Ledbetter, Mobile and Rebekah Ledbetter, Birmingham. Mr. Sanders is also survived by six great-nephews: John Owen and Ian Sanders, Tucker, Caleb, John and Joseph Ledbetter and four great-nieces: Lily, Laura, Gracelyn and Liza Ledbetter. He is also survived by cousins Joe (Diann) Clark, Barbara Gail (Jim) Brooks and Dennis (Susan) Dewberry.
Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his parents, John Beamon and Martha Mildred Sanders as well as several cousins and friends. He was a native of Marshall County and lived many years in Etowah County before moving to Centre.
