Funeral will be at 3 pm Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Crestwood Chapel for Ms. Phyllis Guthery age 65 of Southside who died Monday September 29,2014.Reverends Shawn Sims and Jim Bentley will officiate . Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral home is in charge of services.
Ms. Guthery retired from nursing with over 43 years of service working mainly with people suffering from mental health issues and addictions. She was very creative loved woodworking and folk painting. The centerpiece of her life was God and family. She was loved and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents Robert P. and Ophelia B. Guthery.
She is survived by her son Jon (Amanda) Guthery and daughter April Lanci, grandsons Anthony, Andrew and Dylan. Cousins Amy(David) Pifer and Harriet Wigley.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
