Vietnam war veteran (Army), Phillip Alan Chavies, age 65 of Southside, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his brother, Keith Chavies; sister, Connie Leftwich (Jimmy); four nieces and two nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Elbert C. Chavies and Thelma Arrington Chavies.
