Graveside services will be on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Crestwood Cemetery for Pete Hare, age 60, of Gadsden, who died on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Jeffery Holderfield will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr. Hare will be remembered as a workaholic who could do and fix anything. He was a woodworker and craftsman He was a Glencoe High School graduate, a proud Eagle Scout, and past president of the Glencoe Jaycees, and a longtime member of South 11 ^th St Baptist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend that will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his mother Janice Grim and sister Angie Adams.

Mr. Hare is survived by his daughter Jessica (Tyler) Gillihan, granddaughter Evelyn Gillihan, father Leon Hare, brother Todd (Annette) Hare,the entire King family, chosen brother Gary Holderfield, close friend Jackie McClendon,  and numerous nieces nephews and other extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity instead.

The family would like to issue a special thanks to Chris Hare and the Glencoe Fire and Rescue.
