A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Peggy Wheeler Edwards, 70, of Boaz. Larry Reynolds will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
She worked as a clerical bookkeeper for several car dealerships throughout North Alabama before retiring with Hardin and Company in Gadsden.
Her chosen grandchild was a little neighbor girl named Avery who became the joy of her life. She loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by husband, Eddie Edwards; and daughter, Cocoa Dee Wesley Wheeler; parents, Eloise and Obie Sims; and brother, Dennis Wesley Sims.
She is survived by brother, Billy (Sandra) Sims; nephew, Bryan (Beth) Sims and their children, Kristyn and Caitlin; sister-in-law, Sheila Mueller and her children, Jennifer (Jim) Phillips and Julie (Josh) Nabors and their children, Grant and Ansley; and sister-in-law, Carol Sims.
Special thanks to all the caregivers over the years who helped Peggy through numerous illnesses.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1 until the time of service.
