Funeral will be held at 11 AM, Monday, January 25, 2016, at St. James Catholic Church for Mrs. Peggie Bogumil, 73, of Rainbow City, who passed away Wednesday, January 20th. Father Macy will officiate. Entombment will follow at Crestwood Mausoleum. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.

Mrs. Bogumil was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bogumil, Sr.; daughter, Christina Bogumil; mother, Lucy Howard; and sister, Bobbie Woodum.

She is survived by her daughter, Joan Matthews; son, William Bogumil, Jr.; grandchildren, Justin, Amory, and Jarrod Moffett; and great-grandchildren, Kincade and Auron Moffett.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jessica Howard Foundation.

Pallbearers will be Justin and Jarrod Moffett, Jared Blood, Brian Newton, and Larry Howard.

Special thanks to Laura Cannon, tech; Kerrie Benefield, RN; Tia Horton, who helped out tremendously during our time of need; Shannon Gaskin, Joan Willis, and all friends and family who were there for our family during this difficult time.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Sunday, January 24th, 2016, at Crestwood Funeral Home.
