Funeral services will be 2 pm Sunday January 30, 2022, at Crestwood Chapel, for Paulette Bass Arrington, who passed away on Jan 27, peacefully in Ocala FL. She is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Cecil Thomas Arrington, Glencoe AL. She is also preceded in death by her precious sons Marty Lamar Joiner Leesburg GA, and Matthew Clay Joiner Albany GA., her parents Carl and Ruth Bass Dothan AL.

Paulette was employed and retired from Gadsden City Board of Education after 14 years while living in Glencoe, AL. She also was employed by New World College for 5 years. She graduated from Rehobeth HS in 1961 and received further education at Gadsden State Community College in Gadsden, AL. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and traveling to the mountains with her husband as well as watching University of Alabama football games.

She is survived by her daughter Marsha Paulette (Jim) Miller Ocala FL, grandson Patrick Miller Port St. Lucie FL, grandson Austin Joiner (Kendall) Leesburg GA, granddaughter Anna (Zane) Fraser Leesburg GA, step-daughters Ginger (Joe) Cash Wilsonville AL, Andrea (Aaron) Gulledge Glencoe AL, Alison (Hal) Ashmore Glencoe AL, step-sons Hootie (Myra) Arrington Glencoe AL, Cecil Arrington Sylacauga AL, step-granddaughters Courtney (Jack) Hale, Paige Gulledge, Lauren Ashmore, Lindsey (Kyle) Seagraves, Haley Arrington, Sandy Arrington, great-grandsons Jakob Miller and Kipton Fraser, great-granddaughters Kashlyn Fraser and Kamden Joiner, step-great grandsons Bryce Arrington, Wyatt Hale, and great-granddaughter Beth Seagraves.

Service to be held at Crestwood Funeral Home, Glencoe AL, officiated by Pastor Brooks Boyd followed by burial at Crestwood cemetery.

The family requests that in In lieu of flowers, donation be made to ALD foundation ( aldfoundation.org ) to help further research of ALD.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1 pm until the time of service.
