Funeral Service will be at 2pm Thursday March 18 at Crestwood Chapel for Paul Douglas "Doug" Templeton, age 58, Glencoe, who died Monday March 15, 2010. Dr. Robert Tant and Rev. Wade Acton will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Doug was a lifelong resident of Glencoe and a graduate of Glencoe High School. He served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Glencoe Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was employed by Richards Motors of Gadsden. Doug enjoyed the outdoors and spending time at the farm with his grandson Dakota and all his friends, including his cousin Butch Sims. Doug is preceded in death by his father Beryl Templeton.
He is survived by his son Chris and daughter in law Kristy Templeton; his only grandson Dakota Templeton; mother Billie Templeton; Brother BB (Darlene) Templeton; Sisters Ann (George) Haskew and Beth Templeton; Several Nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
Pallbearers will be Dakota Templeton, Brett McGlaughn, Zach Chambers, Nick Schlosser, Stephen Fuller, and Butch Sims.
Honorary pallbearers are LaShon Walker, Tim Willingham, Shane Brown, Johnny Chambers, and all employees of Richards Motors.
The family will accept flowers, or memorials maybe made to the Glencoe Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from Noon until the hour of service.
