Patricia Ellen Waldrop, age 86, went to her heavenly home on May 26, 2025. Funeral service will be held at Crestwood Funeral Home on May 29th, 2025 at 12 p.m. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Gary Ashley will be officiating.

Patricia was a beacon of light wherever she went. She always put her family first and deeply loved her grandchildren, who lovingly called her "Meemaw." She was actively involved in their lives and cherished every moment with them.

She lived her life seeking to help others and always showed the love of Christ. Patricia also had a tender heart for animals.

She and Daddy (Marvin Waldrop) were married for 64 years. Together, they enjoyed traveling, square dancing, and were active members of numerous clubs, including the Corvette Club. Patricia was also a devoted member of Church of the Highlands in Gadsden and loved attending services.

She leaves behind her children: Michael Waldrop, Sandra (Tim) Batson, and Julie (David) Gulledge; her beloved grandchildren: Hannah Gulledge, Caleb Batson, Josh (Emily) Batson, Nathaniel Gulledge, Brooke Batson Turner (Justin), and Ruthie Gulledge; as well as several nieces and nephews, many special friends, and her dear friend Sherry.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, H.M. and Eula Mae Kimberley; her brother, Richard H. Kimberley; and her sisters, Rae Machen, Mae Bowman, Billie Bowman, and Betty Reed.

Pallbearers will be Michael Waldrop, David Gulledge, Tim Batson, Josh Batson, Caleb Batson, and Nathaniel Gulledge.

We cling to the promises in God's Word that we will one day be reunited in our heavenly home. Patricia was, and always will be, the most precious person to us. We miss her tremendously. Until we meet again—we love you, Meemaw.
