Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Crestwood Chapel, for Mrs. Patricia McEwen Morris, age 82 of Gadsden who died Wednesday August 28, 2024. Pastor Jeremy Ward will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in Charge.

Patti was born in Ohio, and grew up in Centre Alabama. She graduated from Cherokee County High School and then from The University of Alabama School of Nursing. She worked as an RN for many years and retired from Cherokee Baptist Medical Center. She was a member of Union #3 Baptist Church where she was active in the Joy Ministry and Wow ministry. She taught children's Sunday school for many Years. She was also active in Hokes Bluff Lions Club Seniors and Friends. She is survived by a daughter ,Amy(Scott) Dillard and grandchildren Ethan Dillard and Ashton Dilllard. She has numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Morris,, parents George and Alice McEwen, sisters, Geraldine Dickerhoof and Joan Jordan, and brothers ,Russell(Betty)McEwen and Bobby(Dot) McEwen.. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Union #3 Building Fund. Pallbearers will be Deacons of Union #3 Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 11 am until the time of service.
