Patricia “Joan” Jacobs, 84, of Glencoe, Alabama, passed away on April 26, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at Crestwood Funeral Home on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service. Zach Clay will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.

Joan was a faithful member of College Heights Baptist Church in Glencoe. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who was deeply loved by her family. Joan found joy in cooking, caring for her home, and tending to her yard. Throughout her life, she selflessly devoted much of her time and energy to caring for others.

She is survived by her son, Derrick (Tina) Kell; her grandchildren, Emilee (Kyle), Ashley (Scott), Amanda, Alex (Sean), Haley, and Drew; and her great-grandchildren, Ella-Jade, Lily, Samantha, Grady, Avery, Emerie, Jackson, Charlie, and Hadley. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son, Darren Kell; her brothers, Norris Cole and Danny Cole; her parents, Cullman and Opal Cole; and her spouses, George Kell and A.D. Jacobs. She was widowed by both of her husbands.
