Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Patricia Thornton Brooks age 72 of Gadsden who died Wednesday. Reverend Bob Luker Will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in Charge.
Mrs. Brooks was born in Guntersville relocated to Gadsden and was a 1961 graduate of Emma Sansom High School. She retired as a loan officer with Win South Credit Union. She loved her job because she loved helping people. She was loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Eris Thornton and Brother Michael Thornton.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years Jimmie Brooks, sons Tony(Carla) Brooks, Matt Brooks and daughter Lesleigh Brooks, grandchildren Haley(Rob) Eads, Evan Brooks, Tristan Brooks, Madison Brooks and sister Deborah(John) Hollingsworth and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family extends thanks to the ninth floor south nurses and nurse techs at Gadsden Regional Medical Center as well as Dr. Steve Sanders,Drs. Raval, Masood, Bennett , Kaleem, Wang and Kwan.
There will be no public visitation.
