Helm, Nona Lee Hoskins, age 58, of the Ball Play Community, went home Friday, November 20, to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, family members and friends.
She lived an all too brief time, but enjoyed so much from so many, while giving so generously of herself and her time. As a gracious Christian lady, she was the adorable and tolerant wife of six years to David W. Helm, postal employee. She now awaits patiently with open arms, for him to come home.
While present in this life, she endured the passing of her parents Didd Lee Hoskins and Mavis Naomi Wallace Hoskins of Piedmont, and half-brother, Ralph Hoskins.
Nona Lee is so loved and survived by her husband, David; her son, David Scott Parsons, devoted brother, Hulion Don (Patricia) Hoskins; three sisters, whom she cherished, Edna Mae Hoskins Sauls, Ellen Faye Hoskins (Jimmy) Beasley, and Lisa Naomi Hoskins Lee; also a half-brother, Wayne Hoskins, many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She lovingly accepted a second family through marriage: Daniel P. Helm (departed), Nicole Marie Helm, Fred B. (Donna) Helm, John H. Helm, and Phillip M. (Tara) Helm.
To Raymond and Sue Montgomery, Hokes Bluff, life-long friends for their unbounded love, inspirational support, and spiritual guidance, we pray God's continued, richest blessings. As well, to many loving friends.
We extend special appreciation and love to her caregivers, Ms. Shirley J. Helm, also Ms. Stephanie Cox, Ms. Kristy Farley, R.N., Ms. Ashley Vaughn, of Wiregrass Hospice, and Chaplain Richard Bradford, a very comforting presence, for their exquisite services, often difficult and tenuous in the latter days.
Graveside services will be held at 2pm Monday, November 23, 2009 at Crestwood Cemetery. Dr. Rodney Gilmore will officiate. Visitation will be from 12 until 2 Monday at Crestwood Funeral Home.
