Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday February 19, at Jones Chapel Church for Nettie Marie Alford, age 87, Ball Play Community, who died Monday February 15, 2010. Pastor Roger Butler will officiate. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Mrs. Alford was a longtime resident of the Ball Play Community. She was the beloved wife of the late Lee Doies Alford, and a loving mother, grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She was dearly loved by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory; daughter Connie Alford Herring, Ball Play; Sons Doies Lee Alford, Hokes Bluff, Terry Michael Alford (Tammy), Ball Play, and Robert Clay Alford (Karen) Ball Play; 13 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross.
Pallbearers will be Joe Patterson, T.J. Alford, Jeremy Alford, Beau Alford, Joe Deck, and Larry Patterson.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of Mrs. Alford's caregivers who aided in her care and comfort.
The family will receive friends from 10:00AM Thursday until the hour of service at Jones Chapel Church.
