Funeral services will be 12 pm Friday, at Crestwood Chapel, for Mrs. Nellie "Nell" McDaniel, age 82, of Ashville, formerly Gadsden, who died Sunday, April 3, 2022.Reverend Jeff Sauls will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery.

Nell will be remembered as everybody's grandma, loved watching children, loved all outdoors especially her garden and her flower beds. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother to all, sister and friend to all and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband Leon Mcdaniel, brothers Charley, Bill and Kenny McDaniel.

She is survived by son Greg(Patricia) McDaniel, grandchildren Trent McDaniel, Alan Townes, Kim Bollen, great grandchildren. Trevor Bollen, Tory Box, Trista Bollen, Kalea Townes, Braylon Townes, great- great grandchild, Sophia Bollen, siblings, Howard(Carolyn) McDaniel, Carl McDaniel, Buddy McDaniel, Ann Wood, Carolyn Grundy, Betty Mickle, Doris Brownlee and a large extended family.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 11 am until the time of service.
