There will be a graveside service Saturday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. at Crestwood Cemetery for Nell Jo Chapman, 83, Glencoe, who died Sept. 10, 2013. Tim Diggs will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and loving her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade A. Chapman; son, Jeff Chapman; four brothers, Conrad, Buel, J.C. and Harold Webb; and one sister, Mildred Phelps.
She is survived by her children, Bobbie (Bill) Floyd, Michael (Joy) Chapman and Debbie Jones; daughter-in-law, Brenda Chapman; grandchildren, Kristy Floyd, Jay (Crimson) Jones, Darrick (Jessica) Chapman and Leslie Pike; great-grandchildren, Hunter Pike, Madison Pike, Savannah Jones, Granger Pike, Caleb Pike, Taylor Jones, Ashlynn Chapman; sister-in-law, Rachel Webb; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Martin McCormick, David Holmes, Jay Jones, Darrick Chapman, Tony Noah and Kenny Whitmire.
Honorary pallbearers are staff of Coosa Valley Health Care, staff of Woodland Place, Amedisys Hospice, Gentiva Home Health and Dr. Rains. Special thanks to Kelly McWhorter.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. -
