Graveside services were held at Crestwood Mausoleum , for Mrs . Nancy Mathews Hamrick , age 83 , of Rainbow City , who died Wednesday August 4, 2021.

Nancy was a graduate of Etowah High School and retired f ro m t h e Gadsden Police department serving as the very first female officer. She will be remembered as generous and kind , always doing for others. She loved The Lord and attended Cherry Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting ,Alabama Football and always had some fresh baked cookies on hand. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

She is precede d in death by her husband Leonard Hamrick, daughter Lana Kaye Glenn and Brother Dickie Mathews.

She is survived by daughter Lisa (Mike) Skinner, Greg (Jenny) Glenn, beloved grand daughter Cameron Skinner and niece Ro b b e n Mathews other grandchildren and brother Gle n n( Fleta ) Mathews.
