Mrs. Nancy Sue Ellis, age 77 of Gadsden, a member of Carnes Baptist Church, died Friday, January 1st, 2016. Her memorial service will be Thursday, at 1 P.M., at Crestwood Funeral Home with Rev. Mackey Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until time of funeral.
Survivors include her sons, Michael Baugh and David Baugh (Katrina); daughter, Lisa Mitchell (Randall); brothers, Lamar Countryman (Nell) and Al Countryman; sisters, Cathy Brown (Kevin) and Jannette McGriff (Freddy); grandchildren, Grace Baugh, Jason Robinson, Brandon Mitchell, Erin Baugh, Autumn Baugh and Derek Baugh; great-grandchildren, Summer Robinson, Kayelyn Robinson and Atticus McCauley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur Neil Baugh and Alfred Amon Ellis; parents, Samuel Edward Countryman and Dorothy Kathleen Kerr Countryman; brothers, J.R. Countryman and Ed Countryman.
The family would like to express a great appreciation to the CCU nursing staff at Riverview Medical Center for their wonderful and compassionate care, and also to Cherokee County Nursing Home staff.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
