Nancy Daves Conner, 87 of Gadsden, AL, passed away on June 6, 2025 at Gadsden
Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born on July 10, 1937 in Glencoe, AL to Samuel Alexander Daves and Delia
Myrtle Gilbert. She was married to William E. Conner on April 10, 1959, who preceded
her in Death.
She is survived by her Daughter, Charlotte Conner West, Grandchildren, Morgan R.
West and Jennifer E. West (Daniel Biondo) and great grandchildren, Jaxon Roger
Biondo and Waylon Dennis Biondo. She is survived by her best friend and sister of the
heart, Barbara Mann and has numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and
great-nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Ray (Audrey), Jack (Verna),
Harold (Tootsie), Robert (Jean), Hugh (Janice) and her beloved sister Muriel Daves
Crowder.
Nancy was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Gadsden, working tirelessly
for numerous projects in support of the church. She was active in the Ruth-Rejoice
Sunday School Class, Homebound Ministry and Senior Adult Activities.
We would like to give special thanks for Dr. Maury Minton of Hometown Primary Care
and his nurses, the nursing staff of the SICU at Gadsden Regional Hospital, especially
Coni who demonstrated such compassion caring for her on her last day.
Nancy has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the building fund at
First Baptist Church of Gadsden
