Funeral Services will be at 10 am Monday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Nancy Boone Rollins age 87 of Gadsden who died Thursday,July31,2014.Brother John Dickerson will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral home is in charge of services.
Mrs. Rollins was an avid reader and known for her research in genealogy. She was known as one of the best substitutes at Cory and Litchfield during her life. Nancy was the daughter of the late Connie and Curtis C. Boone. Of Wedowee , Alabama. Nancy was known to friends and family for her beautiful Southern dialect. She told stories of her youth when she would hide in the barn loft to read. Nancy was raised in Lafayette, Alabama, and had her husband make a replica of her childhood home that her great grandchildren loved to play in.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years Calvin V. Rollins.; daughter Connie Rollins (Johnny) Kellett and Ann(John B.)Bryant; sons Robert C.(Patty) Rollins and David(Jane) Rollins; grandchildren, Andy Rollins, Amanda(Barry) Buchanan, Robyn(Dustin) Swinford, Julie(Paul) Rolin, Leighton(Rachel) Kellett, Jonathan(Staci) Kellett, Cameron Kellett, Katie Rollins ,Lisa Rollins, Taylor(Melissa)Morgan; great grandchildren Bailey and Logan Rollins, Nic and Will Buchanan, Kylie and Lauryn Swinford, Allie and Eli Bice, Adam and Matthew Rolin, Briley and Gatlen Kellett and Sloan Morgan.
In lieu of flowers memorials will be made to East Gadsden Baptist Church Youth Ministry or Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Deans Sausage employees.
