Nancy Bobo, age 90, of Gadsden, passed away on October 18th, 2025.
Funeral service will be held at Crestwood Funeral Home on October 21st, 2025, at 11 a.m. Adam Brewer will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Bobo was born in Etowah County and resided there her entire life. She was lovingly known as "Gram Gram" by her family. She was a woman of selfless dedication, whose greatest joy was found in caring for those she loved. Her happiest times were spent at home, cooking and sharing laughter with family and friends. She delighted in the laughs and giggles shared with her granddaughters during their "hen parties," and summers spent with her grandsons were a particular joy.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hokes Bluff. In her earlier years, she felt a calling upon her heart to minister to special education students. She faithfully served as both a teacher and leader for more than 45 years at 12th Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Beth Head, Joan (Jim) Strickland, and Robyn (Rodney) Culpepper; sister-in-law, Dot Godfrey; and brother-in-law, Max Bobo. Left to cherish her memory are nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, James Bobo; her parents, John William and Mollie Godfrey; sisters, Billie Wilson and Dot Swan; and brothers, James Godfrey and John Godfrey.

Pallbearers will be Trey Strickland, Marc Brewer, Charles Cochran, Chad Brewer, Reagan Brewer, and Tyler Lumsden.

The family extends special thanks to the nurses and chaplain of Agape Care Group for their loving care.
