Myra Boyle Crockett, 73, of Gadsden, Alabama joined her savior in heaven on July 30, 2024. Born to the late Oliver and Tisha Boyle, Myra's life was well lived, made richer by surrounding herself with the ones she loved.

Myra always had an adventurous spirit. Peeling off the Alabama bumper sticker to attend Auburn University was just the beginning. A  career move would lead her to meeting her husband, Jim, in Charlotte, North Carolina where they began their family and eventually moved to Dallas, Texas. She also loved to travel, especially enjoying the beach, but just floating in the pool, eating popsicles, and spending time with family was her favorite.

Her life in Dallas was enriched by her time as a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church and the many friends she made. Socially dynamic, charismatic and an avid reader, she enjoyed book clubs and supper clubs. Settling back in Gadsden, Alabama by way of Columbia, South Carolina she left her mark on many along the way.

Myra is preceded in death by her parents(Oliver and Tisha Boyle) and her husband, the great love of her life, James Allen Crockett Jr. (Jim) to whom she was married for 36 years. She is survived by her children Jace and wife Carrie Crockett, Austin Gawler and husband Travis, Chandler  Pryor and husband David. Known as Gemma to her grandchildren Elizabeth Crockett, Hudson Gawler, Finley Gawler, Lucy Pryor, Hayes Pryor, and Griffin Gawler.

Myra will be fondly remembered for her infectious laugh, her vivacious personality, and general zest for life. In her absence, we hold onto the precious moments shared and the love that will forever remain.

A Memorial Service will be at 3pm Sunday August 4, 2024 at Crestwood Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until the hour of service. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct service.
