Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Crestwood Memorial Chapel for Mrs. Monette Hallmark Allsup, age 81, of East Gadsden, who passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Burial will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Mrs. Allsup was a member of College Heights Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence S. "Shorty" Allsup; parents, Aubey D. Hallmark and Johnnie Hallmark; and a brother, Robert Joseph Hallmark.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Kathy Joy Machen-Eason; grandchildren, Jeremy Duane (Donna) Machen and Andrew Tyler Machen; great grandchildren, Kennedy Grace Stone and Claire Marie Elliston; brothers, Wilburn (Flo) Hallmark, Jerry (Ellen) Hallmark and Thomas Hallmark; sisters, Ruth Coffey and Sandra Oliver; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In-lieu-of-flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to your favorite charity.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to all of the doctors, nurses and staff of the S.I.C.U. at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 1, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home.
