Funeral services for Mr. Minuard H. Ashmore Sr., 81, Rainbow City, who went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Crestwood Chapel. The Rev. Thom Harrison will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; son, Hal (Alison); granddaughters, Lindsay (Kyle) Seagraves, Lauren Ashmore; great-granddaughter, Kate Seagraves; sister, Lila (Floyd) Massey; brothers-in-law, Ray (Cathy) Pouncy, Tom Girdner; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. and Mrs. J.M. Ashmore; sister, Reba Little; and sisters-in-law, Sandra Wright and Phyllis Girdner.
Minuard was manager of the Alabama National Fair from 1983 to 2003. He served on the board of the International Assn. of Fairs, was a president of Midwest Assn. of Fairs, the Zoological Society and Montgomery Sales & Marketing Executives. He was a member of the Montgomery Kiwanis Club and North Glencoe Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be members of his Sunday school class and Aaron Gulledge; honorary pallbearers, Kyle Seagraves, Jamon Phillips and Jeff Selsor.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Crestwood Funeral Home.
