Funeral services will be at Crestwood Funeral Home at 3 p.m. on Wednesday April 11, 2018 for Mildred Pauline Simmons 98 of Gadsden who died on Sunday April 8, 2018. Bro. David Manojlovich will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery.
Ms. Simmons was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Gadsden, Al. She was one of 13 siblings born to Mr. and Mrs. Van Robinson from Snead Crossroads in Blount County. She lived the majority of her life in Gadsden. She was married to Manley Willis Simmons over 50 years.
Ms. Simmons was preceded in death by her mother and father Mr. and Mrs. Van Robinson, her husband Manley Willis Simmons, two sons John Edward Bearden Jr, and Billy Joe Simmons, two brother, seven sisters and one son-n-law Mack Williamson.
Ms. Simmons is survived by two daughters Patricia (Harold) Gross, Mary (sis) Williamson, one daughter-in-law Glenda Simmons, six grand children and 6 great- great grandchildren, two sisters Christine (Don) Powell and Margarette Murray.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
