Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Monday, November 24th, 2014, at Crestwood Chapel for Mildred Pike Ragsdale, 87, of Southside, who passed away November 21st, 2014. Dr. Roger Willmore will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of directing services.
Mrs. Ragsdale was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Ragsdale; parents, Bill and Bernice Pike; brother, Pete Pike; and sisters, Sue Key and Mavis Taylor.
She is survived by her sons, Denson Ragsdale and wife Deborah, and Larry Ragsdale and wife Amy; grandchildren, Alicia (Jim) Veazey, Blake (Becky) Ragsdale, Kayla (Malley) Prater, Lori (Brian) Bendall, and Julie (Ron) Daugherty; great-grandchildren, Gresham, Sophia and Griffin Veazey, Noah and Elizabeth Ragsdale, Mason, Morgan and Milean Prater, and Greyson, Reece and Raynlee Daugherty; sisters-in-law, Louise Ragsdale, Barbara Ann Ragsdale, Voncile Hayes, and Katie Ragsdale; nieces and nephews, Lynn Burrows, Mendell Crowther, Janice Carter and John East; special friend and neighbor; Geraldine Howard.
Mrs. Ragsdale was a member of Rebekah's Sunday School Class at Southside Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she will be greatly missed.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
