Funeral services will be 1 pm Sunday, at Crestwood Chapel, for Mrs. Mildred "Monk" Kontoulas, age 92, of Gadsden, who died Wednesday December 1, 2021.Reverend Tommy Vogler will officiate. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home in charge of services.

Mrs. Kontoulous will be remembered as a proud, hardworking ,wife, mother ,grandmother great grandmother and great- great grandmother, who told you exactly what was on her mind, like it or not. She was loved and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her children Robert Finley, Joann Scott, Christopher Finley ,5 siblings and her parents Clayton and Alley Dean.

She is survived by children Carolyn Black, Linda(Terry) Barger, Vickie Mclain, Bobby "Roy" (Carolyn) Finley, Tony  Kontoulas,12 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren and her faithful companion ,her dog" Jo Jo".

Honorary pallbearer will be her good friend Kenneth Christopher.

Special thanks to the staff of Encompass Hospice, and her Baptist Retirement home family.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 12 pm until the time of service.
