Funeral will be at St. James Catholic Church at 10:30AM, Thursday March 6, 2014 for Michele Aurora Reynolds, age 71 who died on March 3, 2014. Father Gray Bean will officiate. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct. Burial will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery.
Michele Reynolds life defied all odds. She was a wife, mother of 4 children and 6 grandchildren. She was swept away from her family in California to move to her husband's hometown of Gadsden Alabama in the mid 1960's and called it home until she was awarded the life of Eternity with our Lord Jesus Crist. Michele was a devout Catholic who never missed Mass and was a faithful disciple of St James Catholic Church from the time she rolled into town nearly 50 years ago.
She was widowed at 40 with 3 teens to raise on her own. She had the first of 2 kidney transplants with the first being in 1973. She lived a full productive life, never giving up and bouncing back from incredible personal tragedies to medical miracles of survival that can only be described as such. Her 4 children have grown and become happy successful individuals who can cope with many situations, thanks to Michele's ability to laugh in the darkest moments even at herself. She is greatly missed by all of her family and will be seen her again in Heaven one day.
Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her husband, Jerald H. Reynolds.
She is survived by her four children: Suzanne (Jeff) Powell, John (Traci) Reynolds, Kathy McIntyre and Scott (Melissa) Reynolds; six grandchildren, Kristin, Justin, Kyla, Hartley, Olivia and Molly; four brothers, Mark, Greg, Tony and Joel Catrambone; sister, Kathy Farrand; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. tonight at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home.
