Funeral services will be 11 am Friday, at Crestwood Chapel for Mr. Michael "Mike" Ballard, age 56, of Gadsden, who died Monday March 28, 2022.His father Dr. Larry Ballard will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home announcing.

Mike will be remembered as a loving family man, who had a deep care for serving others. His vocation as a medic was a perfect for him. He loved helping others. His daughter Kayla was his pride and joy, he lived for her. He was a loving father, son, grandfather, brother and friend to all and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by daughter Kayla(Perry) Snyder, parents Larry and Rebecca Ballard, brother Joey(Teresa) Ballard, sister Beth(Jeff) Freeman, grandchildren Scarlet and James Snyder, nephew Gabriel(Payton) Crain, niece Jacyln (Ejay) Smith  and a large extended family.

Special thanks to the Drs. and staff of Northside Health Care and  Southern Care New Beacon Hospice for the care they provide Mike.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10 am until the time of service.
