Graveside services will be at 1pm on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Crestwood Cemetery for Melvin G. Renfroe, 62, Gadsden, who went home to be with his lord on Monday August 11, 2014. After a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis and lung cancer. Rev. Tony Skala will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
He worked at Stamped Products and was an honorary member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He loved all of his church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Erby C. and Jewel Renfroe.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Ann Renfroe. Sons Melvin (Meri) D. Renfroe, Attalla, David (Dawn) Morgan, South Carolina, Jimmy (Angela) Mewbourn, and Lamar (Evelyn) Tosh; Daughter Sharon (David) Page, Glencoe; Grandchildren David (Karla) Morgan, Jr, South Carolina, Tiffany (Matt) Lockridge, South Carolina, Ashley Morgan (Danny McCown) , South Carolina, Heather Page (Dallas Townsel) , Glencoe, and Laney Renfroe, Attalla; Great grandchildren Caden McCown and Chloe Fleury. Brother Rev. Bill (Shirley) Renfroe; Sisters Ann Byrum and Tina (Bobby) Lemley. And his beloved cat Milo.
Pallbearers will be family and Friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Steve Sanders, Dr. Mazen Hakim, Dr. Ashvini Sengar, and special nurses of the 8th floor at Gadsden Regional for taking such great care of him.
The family will receive friends Thursday August 14, 2014 from 6 to 8pm at Crestwood Funeral Home.
