Funeral services for Mrs. Melanie Diane Wester, age 66, of Gadsden, will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Crestwood Chapel. Mrs. Wester passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.

Melanie will be remembered primarily as a devoted Christian and longtime member of Cherry Street Baptist Church. She was a retired school teacher who cherished each of her students. Melanie had a deep love for cooking and enjoyed spending time babysitting her grandchildren. Above all, she was the perfect wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Juanita Bradley, and her granddaughter, Addison Wester. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Timothy Wester; children, Lucas (Brittany) Wester and Lauren (Zack) Lawrence; grandchildren, Oliver and Owen Wester, and Hazel and Willow Lawrence; brother, Steve (Mary) Bradley; and a large extended family.

A special thanks to the ICU nursing staff at Riverview Regional Medical Center for their compassionate care. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
