Funeral services for Mrs. Maudeana "Dean" Cornelius, age 77, of Rainbow City, Alabama, who passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Crestwood Chapel.
Wayne White and Jeremy Burns will officiate. Entombment will follow at Crestwood Mausoleum.

Mrs. Cornelius, affectionately known as "Dean," will be remembered first and foremost as a devoted Christian who loved her Lord and her church family deeply. She was a talented seamstress and cook, and she enjoyed reading and keeping in touch with her friends through phone calls. Always ready to lend a hand, Dean was the kind of person who showed up for everyone—never missing a sporting event for her children, and especially not for her grandchildren.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all, and she will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and soulmate, Richard Cornelius, and by her parents, Chester and Jean Wright.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy (David) Feemster; her son, Jeff (Kerri) Cornelius; and her cherished grandchildren, Whitney and Max Feemster, and Judd Cornelius.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 9, 2025, at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
