Rose Mary Lee, age 87, of Glencoe, passed away on April 29, 2026.
A funeral service will be held at Crestwood Funeral Home on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service. Noel Vice will officiate.
Mrs. Lee was a proud 26-year breast cancer survivor, a testament to her strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit. She was vivacious, exuberant, and fearless, with a zest for life that was truly unmatched. She was a member of VFW Post 8600 in Gadsden, and VFW Post 2760, where she joyfully hosted karaoke for five years, and also a member of American Legion Post 71 in Attalla. She was the devoted companion of John Williams for 27 years, and a loving sister to Carol (Jackie) Vice. Rose Mary had a deep love for community involvement and enjoyed participating in senior civic groups and activities. She took great pride in her home, especially her gardening and beautiful flowers. Above all, she loved her family fiercely, was an inspiration to many, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Bill Lee.
She is survived by her daughters, Helen (the late Roger) Davenport and Denise Lee (Jeffery Brown); her grandchildren, Lynsie (Pat) Guin, Brandi (Brandon) Clough, Cliff (Amanda) Davenport, Raven (David) Foster, Benjamin (Heather) Hulsey, and Levi James (Amanda) Hulsey; and her great-grandchildren, who were the joy of her life: Daniel Guin and Sam Guin, Enslee Clough and Case Clough, Marly Davenport and Camryn Davenport, Wade Foster, Kelby Foster, Ellie Rose Foster, great great grandson Greyson Foster, Zane Hulsey, Henry Hulsey, Adeline Hulsey, Lucas Hulsey
Honorary pallbearers will be members and friends of the American Legion and VFW, with special recognition to Randall (Scarlett and Barbara) Green and Glenell (Connie) Grant
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of Alabama Cancer Center, including Dr. Bunch, Dr. Steinman, and Dr. Anakwah; Dr. Iyer of Family Medicine in Gadsden; Dr. Patel of Alabama Cardiology Clinic; Dr. Lucian Newman; Dr. Charlie Newman; Joy Carter with SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice; and Dr. Jaiswal and the 7th floor staff at Riverview Medical Center for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation
