Funeral services for Mary A. Nix, age, 80, of Gadsden, Al will be Friday, June 4, 2021, 11:00 AM at Crestwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randall Crotts officiating. Burial will follow in Crestwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nix passed away on Monday at Brookwood Medical Center.

Survivors include her daughter, Doris Brown (Randy), Daughter, Alicia Walker, son, Michael Nix (Pamela), son, Scotty Hawks (Brit), grandchildren; Angel Knight, Windel Spaid, Tony Spaid (Penny), Jaymon Stowers (Holly), Tara Khoogar, Anna Hawks, Jacob Nix (Brookelyn), Ashleigh Hawks, Emily Nix, Reagen Hawks, Jay Brown, Reese Hawks, Christopher Walker, Autumn Brown, Kaitlyn Hawks, great-grandchildren; Collin Spaid, Jax Spaid, Fred Spaid, J.D. Spaid, great- great- grandchildren; London Spaid, Parker Spaid, sister-in-laws; Frances Orr and Shirley Nix.

Pallbearers will be Randy Brown, Windel Spaid, Jacob Nix, Jaymon Stowers, Johnny Parker, and Christopher Walker.

Mrs. Nix was a lifelong resident of Etowah County and was a graduate of Southside High School Class of 1959. She also graduated from Gadsden State Junior College of Nursing in 1972. Mrs. Nix was a member of Glencoe Bible Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Nix, daughter, Shelia Long, and a granddaughter, Amber Knight.
