Graveside services will be held at 11:AM Tuesday November 22, 2022 at Crestwood Cemetery for Mary Carraway Nichols, age 97, of Gadsden. Ms. Nichols passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022. Rev. Sam Hayes will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct services.

Ms. Nichols was a longtime resident of Gadsden. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and had served as the Regent of James Gadsden Section. She was member of East Gadsden Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Jennie Edwards Carraway and her grandson Alex Nichols.

Ms. Nichols is survived by her children: Alfred Nichols, John "Clayton" Nichols (Margie), and Mary "Patsy" Blankenship; grandsons Hank Koehler (Jennifer Odell) and Matthew Nichols (Kristin); great grandchildren Cheyenne Koehler, Heidi Koehler, and Mary Koehler; special friend Helen Jaggers.
