Mary Jane "Janie" Kennedy, 78 of Gadsden, Al passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 surrounded by family. Funeral services for Janie will be held at Crestwood Funeral Home on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Visitation will be held at 12:00 - 2:00 and funeral service at 2:00. Services will be officiated by David Heflin, Jamie Thompson, and Bro. Eric Snider.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Zane H and Marjerie Kennedy. Also preceded in death by her brother Zane "Sonny" Kennedy.

Jane leaves to cherish her memories: Children; Jeannie Phillips (Robby), Vickie Hendrix (Tony), Jamie Thompson (Amy), grandchildren; Nathan Thorne, Katy Chandler (TJ), Kennedy Sims (Jon Derek), Trey Thompson, Brent Parks, Lilliana Parks, great grandchild Kambree Joy. Brother: John Allan Kennedy. Chosen sister Carol Stephens.

Janie was an avid crafter and collector of butterflies and elelphants.
