Mary Catherine Heaton, age 93, of Gadsden, Al passed away Monday February 13, 2017. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Gadsden. Mary Catherine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed the companionship of her many friends, and cooking and baking were her passion.


She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Jack Heaton, and by her precious grandson, Kevin Haltiwanger of Hoover, Al; sisters, JoAnn Goss of Huntsville and Frances Odom of Gadsden.

She was survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Terry Haltiwanger, of Hoover.


Visitation will be at Thursday at 11 a.m. at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden with Graveside service at noon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to your favorite charity or Trinity United Methodist Church in Gadsden.
