Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. tonight at Crestwood Chapel for Mary Ruth Bailey, 87, Albertville, who died October 22, 2013. The Rev. Mike Goforth and Bro. Mike Williamson will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct services.
Mrs. Bailey was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Douglas High School Class of 1944 and Jacksonville State University. She was a longtime resident of Charleston, Ill., before moving back to Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Burt and Dessie Terrell; husband, Zeno Bailey; sister, Edith Smith; and brothers, Earl and Fred Terrell.
She is survived by her sons, Charles (Regenia) Bailey and Stephen (Kim) Bailey, all from Albertville; grandsons, Ashton and Whitton Bailey of Albertville; brothers, Carl (Norma) Terrell of Huntsville, Joe Terrell of Guntersville, and Thomas Willard Terrell of Jacksonville, Fla.; a host of nieces and nephews; and best friend, Arlene Collins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Marshall County - Shepherd's Cove or Sardis Baptist Church building fund.
The family would like to express their special thanks to the residents and staff of Merrill Gardens, staff of Albertville Nursing Home and the staff of Shepherd's Cove, and Dr. Alan Calhoun.
Visitation will be tonight at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the service at 7 p.m.
