Graveside services will be 11 am Monday March 6,2023, at Crestwood Cemetery, for Marvin Gladstone Waldrop, age 88,

of Attalla, who entered into rest on Thursday, March 2. Dr. Gary Ashley will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct services.

Marvin Waldrop (Sonny) was retired from the Steel Plant after 38 years and retired from the Navy Reserve as a Master Chief after 36 years of serving our country. He was a member of the Meadowbrook Baptist Church for over 50 years and later a member of Church of the Highlands.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents: Marvin and Francis Waldrop, and sister Nancy Williams.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Patricia Waldrop, three children: Michael Waldrop, Sandra (Tim) Batson, and Julie (David) Gulledge. Six Grandchildren: Caleb Batson, Josh

Batson, Brooke Batson, Hannah Gulledge, Nathaniel Gulledge, and Ruthie Gulledge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society, 4200 Brooke Ave, Gadsden AL, or your favorite charity.

Pallbearers will be: Michael Waldrop, Tim Batson, Josh Batson, Caleb Batson, David Gulledge, and Nathaniel Gulledge.
