Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Crestwood Cemetery for Martha Clark Hudgins, 70, of Gadsden, who died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012. The Rev. Bill Drummond and Scott Harris will officiate. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct the service. Mrs. Hudgins was a retired registered nurse. She was a graduate of Emma Sansom High School, having been a part of the award-winning band. She was a devout Christian, loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Hudgins; father, Frank Clark; and brother, Barney Clark. She is survived by a daughter, Beth (Anthony) Wilson, Southside; son, Jeff Hudgins; daughter, Paige (Paul) Carlisle; grandchildren, Kara, Brad and Jason Wilson, Ben Hudgins, Spenser Hudgins, Justin Dole and Sara Carlisle; mother, Jo Clark; brother, David (Susan) Clark; nieces, Janet Nieto, Emily (Chad) Hayden; and nephew, Joe Clark. The family would like to express their special thanks to the nurses and staff of the ICU at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until the hour of service.
