IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marshall "Rodney"
Stovall
December 6, 1946 – May 24, 2025
Marshall "Rodney" Stovall, age 78, of Gadsden, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2025. A celebration of his life will be held at Crestwood Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 11 am until 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.
Rodney will be fondly remembered as a man of deep faith — a Christian first — and a devoted, longtime member of Siberton Baptist Church. He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially bowling and square dancing, both of which brought him lasting friendships and happy memories.
He spent many years delivering for Fuller Medical, a role he took to heart with his passion for visiting and uplifting his clients. He also volunteered delivering meals for MANNA, and worked at Merita Bakery until its closing. Rodney proudly served his country in the National Guard for over 20 years.
Rodney lived a life of service — to his family, his church, his community, and his country. His kindness, dedication, and joyful spirit touched many lives. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall E. and Nilmarg Stovall.
Rodney is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Catherine Stovall; children, Michael Stovall, Michele (Ronny) Whitt, Nancy (Barry) Williams, and Jonathan Oliver; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his sister, Jan (Mickey) Stevens.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff of Enhabit Hospice for their care and support.
