Funeral services for Mr. Marion Claude Tolson age 80 of Gadsden who died Tuesday, will be 12 noon Friday at Crestwood Chapel .Reverend Mat Alexander will officiate . Burial will be in Forrest Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Mr. Tolson was a man of faith who was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Gadsden. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a 1954 graduate of Gadsden High School. He attended The University of Alabama and J.S.U. .He was an avid reader who would make weekly trips to the library.He loved all sports especially Alabama Football. Marion never met a stranger and loved to talk with everyone. Mr. Tolson will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by parents James Claude and Sue Tolson.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Leesonia Tolson, children Teresa Tolson, Terry(Melissa) Tolson, grandchildren Noelle, Dax and Ethan Tolson, sister Susan Reid and brother James "Jim" Tolson.
The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Parkinson's research.
