Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at Crestwood Memorial Chapel for Mrs. Margie Hudson Sewell, 87, of Gadsden, who died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013. Randy Gunter will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.Mrs. Sewell was a lifelong resident of Gadsden. She was a member of the Eastside Presbyterian Church and the First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hudson; husband, Jerry W. Sewell; son, Cpl. Elliott Sewell.She is survived by her son, James W. Sewell; daughter-in-law, Erica F. Sewell; granddaughter, Lauren Sewell, of Southside; sister-in-law, Shirley Hudson; nieces and nephews, Buddy (Rosemary) Hudson, Nancy (Glem) Branum and Becky (Brett) Singleton; special daughter, Barbara Garrison; special friend, Andy Bedwell.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to John Croyle's Big Oak Ranch.Pallbearers will be Todd Hindsman, Stephen Holland, Glenn Ingram, Doug Logan, Craig Pierce and David Whyte.Honorary pallbearers are Dr. H.B. She lived with an open heart and remarkable compassion toward others; she was the joy of our family.
